Kick muscle pain to the curb with a relaxing treatment at one of these spas in Siargao

Known as the surfing capital of the Philippines, Siargao has lured many a visitor to its humble shores with more than just its waves. The stunning beaches, lush natural reserves (think: caves and mangroves), and chiller-than-thou locals are just some other reasons to make this tear-dropped shaped island at the top of your bucket list.

And once you’re there? Well, besides the pool parties and tropical eats, we recommend spending an hour or two for high quality me-time in the form of a massage or nail service. Visit one of these six spas in Siargao to give your body a break from the (reef) break!

Siargao Bleu Resort & Spa

Boasting to be the grandest and only spa resort on the island, Siargao Bleu Resort & Spa offers a wide array of services and massages for a luxurious pampering experience. From foot and body scrubs to traditional hilot massages, thermal or stone massages and Ventosa cupping, the options for your self-appointed ‘me time’ are endless. Their last call is quite late as well, meaning you can make an appointment up to 10pm to really relax at the end of a long day.

ESSE Massage and Spa

Looking to get your aches and pains massaged away? ESSE Massage and Spa‘s highly reviewed therapists are professional yet friendly, and somehow manage to get all those tricky knots out of your shoulders with repeated visits, so their many guests claim. Who knows? You might just be another convert on the ESSE train.

They have two branches; the one close to Kermit Resort prettier than the one in the town. Their staff across the board, though, are well-trained and professional. Text them ahead of time to make a booking! They close a bit early at 8pm.

Sirena Spa Siargao means business when it comes to your R&R treatments. Whether you want to get your nails done, crave a relaxing massage, are in the mood for a facial, need a wax, or want lash extensions, this is the go-to place.

Their hip tropical interiors and colorful outdoor mural make for some pretty cool photo backdrops. It’s also beside La Santa, also known as party central on Thursday and Saturday nights!

Malinawon Spa Siargao

Feeling tired after a full day at the beach? How about a good massage to make the world right again? Because in Malinawon Spa‘s words: There’s nothing a massage can’t fix. Besides massages, they also offer body scrubs, saunas, steam baths, and nail care, waxing, and threading services.

The setup at Malinawon is more ‘native’ than, say, Siargao Bleu – don’t expect a luxurious experience here.

Address: Located in front of Chicken Depot, beside Swell Wash Laundry, Tourism Road, Purok 3, General Luna, Siargao

Emerald House Village

Emerald House Village is a small village resort with houses and bungalows situated near the Cloud 9 area. They also have an on-site spa with professional masseuses who can give you almost any massage you can think of – Swedish, Thai, Shiatsu, Traditional Hilot, and Combination.

If you’re in the Cloud 9 area and have an hour to spare away from the waves, head here and ask for your massage of choice. It’s right across Cloud 9 so if you’re surfing Quicksilver or Jacking Horse you could literally jump from sea to massage bed and vice versa!
